Went to get my Honda seen because the maintenance light was on. Went back a few hours later to pick it up, was told that I needed to replace a part of my engine. I was charged $160 JUST FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC. That in itself is insanely ridiculous. I was then quoted over $1600 for the replacement part. I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion, they scanned it and said everything was fine, I just needed an oil change. They didn’t charge me for their diagnostic. I went home and changed my oil and the maintenance light turned off. The new owner of this place seemed nice, but I think he was taking advantage of me (a young woman who really doesn’t know too much about cars) to make the most money he could. If you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on unnecessary fixes, I’d try your luck elsewhere.🤷‍♀️

We were driving from BC to LA, near Stockton, the Check Engine light of our Ford Transit Cargo Van suddenly came on, and we noticed a significant loss of power when going uphill. Concerned about safety, we didn’t dare to continue driving and google guided us to this location. They immediately arranged an inspection for our vehicle and determined that the engine itself was fine and that the issue was likely due to a rusted exhaust converter unit, causing occasional exhaust blockage, but it wouldn’t affect driving safety. Then they cleared the warning for us, and kindly recommended a nearby shop to repair the exhaust—and they didn’t charge us a single cent! Thanks to their professionalism and efficiency, we were able to make it to our scheduled event on time that day and later completed our return trip safely. The service from this repair shop left us feeling incredibly grateful and reassured. Their honesty, expertise, and willingness to help were truly outstanding. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of automotive assistance!

A friend of mine referred me to North Stockton Auto Service Inc based on his own positive experiences. Ed and his team not only successfully corrected the problem in one visit but they treated my Chevy 2010 Silverado like a King and Queen. Prices were reasonable, the team trust worthy, and the service impeccable. I have found my new mechanic! Ed is the best. 🤩

I have been coming to North Stockton Auto for a few years now. They have kept me on the road reliably since 2019. Ed and his team are so honest, forthright, and fair, which is rare nowadays. I can bring my car here knowing that when I tell them what's wrong they're going to appraise the situation and give me the correct solution. If something does not need to be fixed, they will also let me know that, which is rare-no unnecessary repairs here! If you're looking for a trustworthy, reasonably priced, and reliable place to bring your car this is it!

Clean, everyone wears a face covering, super courteous and respectful. Got my car right in as promised. Posted promise to offer the best possible service! Very Professional and inspires confidence. Even though I am a female they listened to me and asked me good questions regarding my concerns.
